7 Days on the Winter Mountain – More Moments of Calm

Sally-Anne, 31.01.21

Hello. I’m happy to tell you that we’re making another series of videos. Seven this time as a sequel to the 21-video series that we made last spring. This time obviously in winter.

We’ll revisit some of the same mountain landscapes that you saw in the series last year, close to our home in a small alpine village, at the end of a valley in the French Alps. And I’ll teach you the same simple pause practice that I gave you last year of creating space and taking a breath. Because the value of practice is to never forget.

My hope, my gift if you like with these videos, is to give you a few minutes a day of you time, to pause and reflect, guided by me, and to develop the capacity to create thinking space regardless of what’s going on around you. In the midst of whatever else is happening, to respond on purpose and say what you mean. So that whatever you say, you never have to regret it and you speak from your heart.

So come and join me for 7 Days on the Winter Mountain, starting Monday February 1st.

Day 6: Be Compassionately Fearless

By Sally-Anne, 06.02.21

How often on a busy day do you stop and notice what's happening and how you’re reacting to it? Often we’re on autopilot, relying on our habitual judgments of people and events to inform our actions...

Day 5: Gain Perspective

By Sally-Anne, 05.02.21

The 14km ski run that arrives in our village is a bit like a metaphor for life: some parts are gentle and smooth, others steep and difficult, and there are long flat stretches where you have to push yourself along. Overall, it’s glorious and exhilarating, but there are places where it doesn’t feel like that...
